About the Hokkaido University Global Public Relations Ambassador Program (HUPRA)

The Hokkaido University Global Public Relations Ambassador Program (HUPRA) was established in FY2024 to increase the University’s international visibility, support student recruitment, and strengthen the international community. Under this program, Hokkaido University Global Public Relations Ambassadors (“Ambassadors”) will be appointed to support the University’s public relations activities by leveraging their domestic and international networks. This program is a development of the “Hokkaido University Ambassador Partner Program,” which was in place from 2016 to 2024.

Ambassadors primarily support the University’s international PR and recruiting activities, and disseminate information about the University through local media, educational institutions, and events.
